"Logansteno: Bought a VW?" (logansteno)

Every 2015 Cadillac got the new logo other than the 2015 SRX and XTS. Both still have a wreath'd logo.
I'm guessing that either their going to be killed off in the next year or so or updated. So Cadillac didn't bother to change the logo just yet. I think the SRX is actually due for an update, thank god.
I also noticed the ELR didn't get a 2015 model year page yet. I wonder if they're already going to kill it off because of poor-to-none sales?
The amount of cars is about to half on there after the old CTS-Vs and CTS wagon and coupe are taken down along with the old Escalade.

I'm pretty sure that the XTS will soon be dead. The SRX will be updated, and the ELR is set to be redone for the 2016 model with new autonomous driving features.

The badge isn't what's wrong with the brand, at least in my mind.

Good, keep the big FWD cars to Chevy and Buick.
Autonomous driving? Oooh.

Sad day for Oshawa assembly though. They're losing the XTS and Camaro too.

Those are the ones the old people buy, maybe?

XTS? Yeah, definitely.
SRX? Eh, it's their best-selling model, so I doubt only old people are buying. But, with it being their best-selling model, you'd think they would've just slapped the new badge on it.

Interesting. I finally saw an ELR in the wild. It sure is pretty.

I was okay with the XTS-V. FWD-biased AWD system.

The SRX's XT# replacement is due in the next couple of model years, so that's probably why they're not bothering to change it now. As already mentioned, the XTS was intended as a stopgap model and will likely be retired in favor of the CT6, even if the XTS apparently sold rather well.
The next-generation ELR will debut for the 2016 MY, and the poor sales of the 2014 ELR have led to GM forgoing the 2015 MY altogether. I don't exactly recall whether they're going to stop producing them or continue producing them without updating the MY to 2015.

The SRX has been around in its current iteration since the 2011 model year so it's probably due for an update in 2016. And I drove a 2012 not long ago and wasn't terribly impressed. I mean, it was nice - loaded - and the shop was putting headrest DVDs in it. However, I found the gears to be poorly spaced for the 3.6's powerband and it ended up sounding unpleasantly noisy under hard acceleration. It wasn't the growling "whoosh," you normally get from a high-powered luxury V6 - Nissan's VQ is one of the best - but more like a small-displacement engine straining to pull the weight.
